Take 10: Coastal Land Design, homebuilding, inside and out
EASTHAM — Tim Klink, the founder of Coastal Land Design in Eastham and Chatham, always wanted to own his own business.
After studying landscape architecture, the New Jersey native soon realized that landscaping was often “an afterthought” to building a home. “There was a disconnect between landscaping and building,” Klink said. “I thought, ‘There must be a way to bring those two together.’”
Housing plan approved in Eastham
EASTHAM — Somebody up there likes Tim Klink.
It took two appearances before the planning board, but the board agreed on Nov. 18 to allow Klink, owner of Coastal Land Design, to convert the former Church of the Visitation, at 930 Massasoit Road, into three townhouses. The vote was split, with four members in favor of the project, two opposed, including board chairman Daniel Coppelman
“It was divine intervention,” Klink said after the vote. “I was married in that church, the last wedding before it shut the doors in 2009.”
Former Eastham Catholic Church, land sold
EASTHAM — Tim Klink, president of Coastal Land Design at 4665 Route 6, Eastham, is the new owner of the former Church of the Visitation Catholic Church at 930 Massasoit Road.
Klink, operating as Billingsgate Landing LLC, purchased the church on its three-acre site for $400,000 on June 5 from the Roman Catholic Diocese of Fall River. He filed an approval not required plan with the planning board on June 10 for a three-lot subdivision, Paul Lagg, town planner said.
